THE FT9 WEEKLY SCOOP - FWS EPISODE 2 (LATE POST)

Last week had a lot of scoop but my mental capacity was totally preoccupied by events that precede my predictability.

This week, we had another Momoh day; always full of surprises that come in a binary opposition format (I sha knew i had to write something). I still remember the look on Dayo’s face when we saw the question and tried to improvise with a creative answer.

Truth is, we all had a lot of deadlines so Tuesday didn’t seem so eventful until the Honorable Dean of SMC asked us to do an impromptu presentation on the “value of hardwork” and trust my FT9ners, it got personal and the ever calm Moyinoluwa gave us an insight to brought tears to some eyes (if I call names now, they will say ‘I yaff come again’). The real fun, however, was on Wednesday on the field trip to Coca-cola and 7-up bottling Company.

The trip was peculiar to the FT9ners particularly interested in Organizational communication; it was instrumental to our basic understanding of the structure, culture, strategic and internal communication that occurs in a corporate environment.

We made a quick stop at shoprite to do some shopping (did I mention that our guys looked like groomsmen in their corporate look, if you ask me, Folahan looked like the groom). We gained a lot of knowledge and small chops too but it wouldn’t have been complete without the chicken fight just before the “illiterate” landlord called. The moral lesson here is, 'Tolerance is key in a world of diversity.' Remember, we are one family; One for all and All for one.

Thursday had me tripping as Creativity in FT9 took the stage in their development of an IBP campaign; Pan Atlantic University is incredible, they find a way to suck the critical and creative thinking out of your brain within a short period of time and that was how Barrister Tomi chose to add his own work to the wahala. I love the man and his teaching style but my brain is certainly experiencing a rethink on the idea of ‘law’ in general.

The week ended with some more tips on entrepreneurial engagement by the silky Leader-in-Chief; you should know how to create a business plan, the entry strategies for your business venture and... Well, you should have sat in if you wanted exclusive. Don’t forget this is just a scoop and not a whole package.

Before I vanish from this platform, please remember the writing of Obiaya’s essay is the path to 30 marks and if you have an ethics or M&A presentation; You better lay the foundation for that empire right now.

Kisses

Veena
